Laura Willcox

Writetress, Actress, Comedienne (unless that means French comedian? Not French, sorry.)

Laura was once called a “moderate triple threat” by her high school theater director and she’s been trying to live up to that ever since. She’s now a writer, occasional actor, and (sorry to say) improviser living in beautiful, affordable Los Angeles, America.

Laura is currently developing a pilot with Sony and Gabrielle Union’s I’ll Have Another Productions. She recently wrote for Kevin Hart’s 2022: Back That Year Up comedy special, NBC’s A Little Late with Lilly Singh, and The Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central. She co-wrote a live action comedy feature for Nickelodeon with her writing (and life) partner Don Fanelli. She also wrote for the interactive series Damage Control starring Busy Philipps that premiered at Sundance. Her parody wedding guide book I Am Bride: How to Take the "We" Out of Wedding (And Other Useful Advice) has been featured in The New Yorker, The Knot, and Refinery29. She’s currently developing it into a feature with Point Grey Pictures.

Laura has appeared in Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, FX's You're The WorstLate Night with Seth Meyers, MTV’s Hey Girl, Netflix's The Characters, and was the host of Femme Ed, an original series on Refinery29's comedy channel Riot.  She has been a longtime performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where you can catch her playing alongside Lauren Lapkus in their quasi-monthly two-prov show LapCox.
