Laura Willcox
Comedy Writer | Copywriter | Crybaby
Laura is a TV/feature writer, copywriter, and occasional actor living in beautiful, affordable Los Angeles. She specializes in grounded comedies that make you cry just a lil bit.
Laura’s written for GEORGIE & MANDY’S FIRST MARRAIGE (CBS/WB), A LITTLE LATE WITH LILLY SINGH (NBC), THE JIM JEFFERIES SHOW (Comedy Central), and a live action comedy feature for NICKELODEON with her writing (and life) partner Don Fanelli.
She’s developed with Sony, Gabrielle Union’s I’ll Have Another Productions, and Seth Rogan’s Point Grey.
Her parody wedding guide book I AM BRIDE has been featured in The New Yorker, The Knot, and Refinery29.
She’s crafted ad copy and branded content for CREST, CHEVY, MARRIOTT, and BOOST MOBILE—blending humor, storytelling, and a sharp understanding of brand voice to drive results and connect with audiences.
Laura has been a longtime performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where she met her husband on an improv team, which is very cool. When she’s not writing, Laura is usually watching The Real Housewives, begging her kids to go to bed, and stealing their Halloween candy then playing dumb when they notice.
